A financial coach helps you create goals and stick with them so you’re not just dreaming about financial peace—you’re living it. Financial coaching is different from any other finance-related job. CPAs help you with your taxes. Financial advisors help you with investments. But financial coaches work with you to create a personalized start-to-finish plan for your money and help keep you on track.
Financial coaches often work with their clients over several sessions—focusing on anything from fine-tuning your budget to discovering your long-term goals to working through a real financial crisis. No matter the situation, financial coaches sit with you one one-on-one (online) to help you overcome the challenges that hold you back in your finances.
Who will benefit from coaching?
Anyone interested in making their money work for them instead of working for money.
Anyone interested in managing their money for their family's future.
Anyone who wants to finally pay off student loans.
Anyone with credit card debt, that wants to be debt free.
Anyone having money fights with their spouse.
Anyone with big money goals, like saving to buy a home.
Anyone wanting to set themselves up for retirement.
Anyone who needs a plan for paying for their children's college.
When should I work with a financial coach?
That’s the great thing about a financial coach—I can help you in any situation! Maybe you’re up to your eyeballs in student loans or credit card debt, or you’re having money fights with your spouse. Or perhaps you have big money goals—like saving to buy a house or setting yourself up for retirement—but have no plan to achieve them. Regardless, I can meet you where you’re at and steer you in the right direction so that you can win with your money.
How much does a financial coach cost?
I am an independent coach and I offer coaching at no cost as a ministry to church members and their families.
Do I work for Dave Ramsey?
No. I am an independent business owner, so my paychecks don’t come from Dave. However, I am a professional financial coach who has been trained extensively by Ramsey. I am a certified Master Financial Coach. I do base my financial advice on the Ramsey principles.
Marriage is not a “me”—it’s a “we.” Working on your finances together is the only way to succeed when it comes to money. Not only that, many couples find that talking about money reduces stress in their marriage. It’s so important, I’ve made it one of my core teachings. If you’re having difficulty getting your spouse on board, let me know.
The great part about working with a financial coach is that I will guide you through every step of the process. During your first consultation, I will ask questions to get to know you—your goals, your dreams, your past, your pain points, etc. So be sure to have your answers ready.
Regardless of your needs, a coach can meet you where you’re at and steer you in the right direction so you can have financial freedom.
