After receiving my Ph.D. in the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2016, I pursued roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Researcher at NTU in 2018. In 2019, I became a Visiting Scholar and Research Scientist at Microsoft Research (MSR) in Redmond, WA, USA. While at NTU and MSR, I expanded my data science and deep learning expertise.
From 2021 to 2024, I worked as a Communications Research Scientist at MediaTek Inc. in Hsinchu, Taiwan, focusing on advancing next-generation (6G) wireless communication technologies. Since August 2024, I have served as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Information Engineering Department at National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan.
As a new university faculty member, I am establishing my laboratory better and welcome you to join me as one of its early pioneers. One of the critical aspects of my professional journey has been collaboration. I have had the privilege to work with esteemed international labs and specialists from Japan, Taiwan, and the USA. Our joint efforts have spanned various fields, including AI, signal processing, data science, and network science. This collaborative spirit will be a cornerstone of my lab, which will specialize in theoretical and fundamental research, providing a solid foundation for addressing applied research topics through rigorous analysis and exploring the limits of algorithm design.
My recent research projects at the lab have focused on two key areas, each with its unique set of challenges and opportunities. The first area is privacy-preserving technologies and distributed learning, mainly on federated learning for AIoT applications and 6G mobile communications. The second area of focus is advancing research in AI for wireless communications and wireless communications for AI. These projects aim to address challenges related to sensing, communications, and computing, with the ultimate goal of integrating these elements to enhance system capabilities and performance.
