Privacy Policy for TV Cast - Screen Mirroring & Remote Control

1. Introduction

Sanxview ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. TV Cast - Screen Mirroring is a premium tool that mirrors your screen to compatible displays and provides wireless mouse, keyboard, and media control for your PC over a local network. This policy explains why we require certain permissions and how we ensure your data never leaves your control.

2. Our "Privacy First" Commitment

We believe your data belongs to you. Unlike many other apps:

• ✅ No Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

• ✅ No Tracking: We do not use analytics, crash reporters, or tracking SDKs.

• ✅ No Cloud Servers: Your screen, audio, and control commands are streamed directly to your TV or PC. We do not have access to your sessions.

• ✅ No Account Required: You can use all features without an account or login.

3. How the App Works (Data Processing)

All data processing happens locally on your device and your private WiFi network.

A. Screen Mirroring

The app uses the Android MediaProjection API to capture your screen. This data is converted into a stream and sent directly to your target display device on the same network. It is never saved or uploaded.

B. Audio Mirroring (Internal Audio)

To provide a complete experience, the app captures System Audio (music, games, app sounds) using the AudioPlaybackCapture API.

• Important Note: While Android requires us to request the "Record Audio" permission for this, the app does NOT record your physical microphone or voice. It only captures internal digital audio from your apps.

C. Drawing & Annotation Tool

The app includes a feature to draw or highlight on your screen during mirroring. This uses the System Alert Window permission to show a transparent drawing layer. None of your drawings are saved.

D. Remote Mouse & Keyboard Control

The app provides wireless mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, keyboard typing, and media/volume/power control for a Windows PC. This works by:

• Connecting to a locally installed PC server (TvCastServer) over your private WiFi network

• Mouse movement data is sent via UDP (fast, real-time)

• Keyboard and control commands are sent via WebSocket (reliable)

• All communication is plaintext on your local network only — no internet involved

• The server runs entirely on your PC — no data is sent to external servers

• You control your own PC — the server only accepts connections from your phone

E. Device Discovery

The app automatically discovers your PC on the local network using:

• UDP broadcast discovery (sends a "DISCOVER" packet on your local network)

• mDNS/Bonjour service discovery

• SSDP/UPnP and NetBIOS scanning

• TCP port scanning

No data is transmitted during discovery — only network packets to identify nearby devices.

4. Permissions & Their Purpose

We only request permissions essential for the app's core functionality:

5. Local Storage

The app stores a minimal amount of data only on your device's internal storage:

• User settings (theme, quality preferences, mouse sensitivity).

• Connection history (names/IPs of previously connected TVs and PCs) to make future connections faster.

• This data never leaves your phone. You can clear it anytime by clearing the app's cache or uninstalling the app.

6. Third-Party Services

The app is built using trusted open-source libraries:

• Lottie: For smooth UI animations (runs entirely offline).

• Glide: For efficient image handling (runs entirely offline).

• NanoHTTPD: A local-only web server used to facilitate the stream between your phone and TV.

• ZXing: For local QR code scanning.

• Java WebSocket: For reliable communication with the PC server.

None of these libraries collect or transmit your data.

7. PC Server (TvCastServer)

The optional PC companion server (TvCastServer.exe) is an open-source Python application that runs on your Windows PC:

• It is 100% open-source — you can inspect all code

• It only runs on your local network

• It requires no internet connection

• It does not collect or send any data externally

• It only accepts mouse/keyboard commands from paired phones

• It can be stopped, uninstalled, or disabled at any time

• It runs as a background process with a system tray icon

8. DRM and Content Restrictions

Please note that some high-value streaming services (like Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime) use DRM (Digital Rights Management). These services may block screen mirroring, resulting in a black screen. This is a restriction imposed by the content provider and cannot be bypassed by our app.

9. Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any personal information, our app is fully compliant with COPPA and other children's privacy regulations. We do not knowingly or unknowingly collect data from children under 13.
