TV Remote Control: Universal (“the app”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is operated by Infinite Swipe Labs.
We respect your privacy and aim to keep the app simple, transparent, and secure.
The app allows users to discover, pair with, save, and control supported Smart TVs over a local Wi-Fi network.
The current version supports compatible:
Android TV / Google TV devices
Samsung Tizen TVs
LG webOS TVs
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed or stored when you use the app.
For privacy-related questions, contact:
Infinite Swipe Labs
Email: infiniteswipelabs@gmail.com
The app may store a limited amount of information locally on your Android device so that it can remember your preferences and previously paired TVs.
This may include:
App theme preference
Haptic feedback preference
Keep-screen-awake preference
Onboarding status
Previously paired TVs
TV name
TV platform
TV network address
Pairing information required to reconnect to a TV
Selected remote mode
Other basic settings required for app functionality
This information is primarily stored within the app's private storage on your device.
It is not intended to be used to identify you personally.
Local information generally remains on your device until:
You remove or forget a paired TV
You change or reset the applicable preference
You clear the app's storage through Android settings
You uninstall the app
The app uses your local Wi-Fi network to discover and communicate with supported Smart TVs.
For the app to work, your phone and TV generally need to be connected to the same local network.
During TV discovery and communication, the app may process information such as:
Local IP addresses
Network ports
TV names
TV platform or manufacturer information
Local device identifiers exposed by the TV
TV discovery information
Connection status
This information is used to:
Find compatible TVs
Display available TVs
Establish a connection
Pair your phone with your TV
Send remote-control commands
Reconnect to previously paired TVs
This network information is used for local TV remote functionality and is not intended to determine your physical location.
The app uses supported local-network discovery technologies to locate compatible Smart TVs.
Depending on the TV platform, this may include technologies such as:
Local network service discovery
SSDP
mDNS / NSD
Manufacturer-specific local discovery mechanisms
Discovery occurs on the user's local network.
The app may temporarily process information broadcast by compatible devices so that those TVs can be shown in the Add TV screen.
Discovery information may include:
TV name
Local IP address
Supported service information
Device identifiers
TV platform
Manufacturer information
The app does not use TV discovery to scan the public internet for devices.
Some supported TVs require approval or pairing before the app can control them.
The exact pairing process depends on the TV platform.
For example, the TV may:
Display a pairing code
Ask you to approve a connection request
Generate an authorization token
Generate another credential used to reconnect securely
The app may locally store pairing credentials necessary for future connections.
These credentials are used only to communicate with the TV with which they were created.
When pairing with a supported Android TV or Google TV device, the app may locally process and store information required to establish a trusted connection.
This may include:
TV identity information
Pairing information
Certificate information
Security information required to verify future connections
The app uses this information so that previously paired TVs can reconnect without requiring a new pairing process every time.
Sensitive connection information is stored using security mechanisms available on Android where appropriate.
When pairing with a supported Samsung Tizen TV, the TV may provide an authorization token.
The app may locally store information such as:
Samsung TV identity
Authorization token
Connection information
Security information used to recognize the previously paired TV
This information is used only for connecting to and controlling the associated Samsung TV.
Samsung pairing credentials are stored using protected app storage and Android security mechanisms where applicable.
When pairing with a supported LG webOS TV, the TV may provide a client key or similar authorization information.
The app may locally store information such as:
LG TV identity
Client key
Connection information
Security information required for reconnection
Network information used for supported TV wake functionality
This information allows the app to reconnect to a previously paired LG TV without requiring approval every time.
For compatible TVs, the app may attempt to wake a previously paired TV over the local network.
Where supported, this may require storing a TV's network hardware address, commonly known as a MAC address.
A stored TV MAC address may be used only for functionality such as sending a local Wake-on-LAN request.
Wake-on-LAN:
Operates on the local network
Is not supported by every TV
May depend on the TV model and TV settings
May require the television's network standby functionality to remain enabled
The app does not use TV MAC addresses for advertising, tracking, or building user profiles.
When you press a remote button, the app sends the corresponding command to the connected TV over the local network.
Commands may include:
Power
Volume up
Volume down
Mute
Directional navigation
OK / Select
Back
Home
Channel controls
Input / Source
Media controls
Touchpad navigation
These commands are processed for the purpose of controlling the selected television.
The app does not intentionally transmit your remote-control activity to Infinite Swipe Labs.
You may save paired TVs so that you can reconnect more easily later.
Saved TV information may include:
TV name
TV platform
Device identity
Last known local network address
Pairing credentials
Connection metadata
Saved TV information is stored locally within the app.
If you choose Forget TV, the app removes the saved information associated with that TV where applicable.
The app may store preferences including:
System Default, Light, or Dark theme
Haptic feedback preference
Keep Screen Awake preference
Previously selected remote mode
Onboarding completion status
These preferences may be stored using Android app-storage technologies such as Preferences DataStore.
They are used only to provide the selected app experience.

Depending on the TV platform, sensitive pairing information may be protected using:
Android private app storage
