Laura Po is a Researcher and a member of the Big Data Research Group (http://www.dbgroup.unimo.it/ ) of the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari" in Modena, since December 2010. She has obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Science in 2009 and received a Magna cum laude "Laurea" degree in Computer engineering in 2005 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
She is a lecturer of the Knowledge Representation and Semantic Web (since 2011) and Database courses (since 2009) at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She has been a lecturer in the second (https://eventos.citius.usc.es/keystone.school/) and third edition (http://ifs.tuwien.ac.at/keystone.school/) of the Keystone Training School in 2016 and 2017.
She wrote several publications in journals and proceedings of international conferences, and international book chapters. She has participated in national and international research projects since 2004. She is the task leader T1.1. of the European "KEYSTONE Semantic keyword-based search on structured data sources".
She is actually involved in the European Project Re-search Alps [2017-2019] (http://researchalps.eu/) co-financed by INEA CEF Telecom as part of the call CEF-TC-2016-2 Public Open Data where I lead Task 1.1 "Survey, collection and analysis of the available date".
She will be the leader of the European Project "TRAFAIR - Understanding Traffic Flows to Improve Air quality" co-financed by INEA CEF Telecom as part of the call CEF-TC-2017-3 Public Open Data that will start the 1st November, 2018.
She is a co-founder of DataRiver srl a Spin-Off company that designs and develops solutions for data integration using techniques from research in the field of the Semantic Web.
