Insert the Quiz Link
Paste the Google Forms quiz link into the embed section.
Adjust the size of the embedded quiz to fit the page layout.
Add Instructions
Use the text box tool to add instructions for students taking the quiz.
Example:
Welcome to the Environmental Science Quiz 1!
Please complete the quiz by clicking the link below. You have 30 minutes to finish.
Save and Publish
Click "Publish" to make the quiz live on the page.
Step 4: Final Checks and Sharing
Test Everything
Visit the published site and test all links, quizzes, and embedded content to ensure they work correctly.
Share the Site
Share the site URL with students and collaborators.
You can also restrict access to specific users if needed by adjusting the sharing settings.
Update Regularly
Keep the site updated with new courses, quizzes, and resources as the project progresses.
Tips for Success
Consistency : Use consistent fonts, colors, and layouts across all pages for a professional look
Accessibility : Ensure all content is accessible (e.g., use alt text for images, provide transcripts for videos).
Feedback : Encourage students to provide feedback on the quizzes and course materials to improve future iterations.
By following these steps, you can effectively create and manage courses, syllabi, and quizzes for the ERASMUS Project ADELE on Google Sites.

Creating Open Educational Resources (OER) within the ERASMUS Project ADELE on Google Sites
This tutorial will guide you through creating Open Educational Resources (OER) for the ERASMUS Project ADELE using Google Sites. The primary website for this project is:
https://sites.google.com/view/gv2-adele/home?authuser=0 .
We will cover the following steps:
Setting up your OER on Google Sites.
Developing and organizing educational resources.
Applying Creative Commons licensing to make it an OER.
Publishing and sharing your OER.
Step 1: Setting Up Your OER on Google Sites
Log in to Google Sites
Go to Google Sites and log in with your Google account.
Navigate to the ADELE project site: https://sites.google.com/view/gv2-adele/home?authuser=0 .
Access the Editor
Click the "Edit" button (usually found at the top-right corner of the page) to enter editing mode
Familiarize Yourself with the Layout
On the left-hand side, you’ll see the navigation menu where you can add or edit pages.
In the center, you’ll see the live preview of the page you are editing.
On the right-hand side, you’ll find tools for adding text, images, videos, and other elements
Step 2: Developing and Organizing Educational Resources
2.1 Create a New Page for Your OER
Create a New Page
In the navigation menu on the left, click the "+" icon to add a new page.
Name the page after your OER topic (e.g., "Introduction to Environmental Science").
Set the Page Layout
Choose a layout that suits your needs. For example, use a "Text and Media" layout to combine text with multimedia content
Drag and drop sections to organize the page.
Add Educational Content
Use the text box tool to write the title, objectives, and description of your OER.
Example:
Title: Introduction to Environmental Science
Objective: This OER explores ecosystems, sustainability, and climate change.
Description: Learn about the fundamentals of environmental science through readings, videos, and interactive quizzes.
Insert Multimedia
Use the embed tool to add videos, slideshows, or external links related to the topic.
Example: Embed a YouTube video explaining ecosystems or upload a PDF document with additional readings
Organize Content into Sections
Use headings and subheadings to divide the content into logical sections (e.g., Introduction, Key Concepts, Activities, Assessment).
Step 3: Applying Creative Commons Licensing
Select a Creative Commons License
To make your resource an OER, assign an open license such as Creative Commons (CC) .
Visit the Creative Commons website to choose a license that suits your needs.
Add Attribution and Licensing Details
Include a statement at the bottom of your OER page specifying the license and attribution requirements.
Example:
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
You are free to share and adapt this material, provided you give appropriate credit and distribute it under the same license.
Ensure all third-party content (e.g., images, videos) used in your OER is properly attributed and compatible with the chosen license
Step 4: Publishing and Sharing Your OER
Test Everything
Visit the published site and test all links, embedded content, and multimedia to ensure they work correctly.
Publish the OER
Click "Publish" to make the OER live on the site
Share the OER
Share the site URL with students, educators, and collaborators.
You can restrict access to specific users if needed by adjusting the sharing settings.
Promote Reuse and Adaptation
Encourage others to adapt and improve your OER by clearly stating its open license and providing instructions for reuse
Tips for Success
Collaborate : Work with peers or subject matter experts to enhance the quality and scope of your OER
Accessibility : Ensure your OER is accessible to all learners (e.g., use alt text for images, provide transcripts for videos).
Feedback : Collect feedback from users to improve future iterations of your OER
By following these steps, you can effectively create and manage Open Educational Resources (OER) for the ERASMUS Project ADELE on Google Sites
.
