Thank you for taking the time to visit my portfolio. This portal presents a brief overview of my academic and research projects.

My name is Tushar Bommla, I’m 28years old, with over 4 years of experience as a Marine Engineer in the oil and gas, as well as offshore wind energy domains. I am currently working as an Advanced Marine Engineer at Siemens Gamesa in Vejle. This portfolio is focused solely on my academic and research background.

Summary:
I graduated in August 2022 with a Master’s degree from École Centrale de Nantes (France), specializing in Hydrodynamics for Ocean Engineering within the Marine Technology Department, with a focus on Marine Renewable Energy.

I completed my Master's thesis at 2H Offshore in Paris, France. The topic of the internship was Anchoring and Mooring of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT).

The key objectives of this internship were:

1. Conducting a scientific study of floating wind turbines.

2. Developing a full mooring design methodology for different water depths and layout configurations, tailored to 2H Offshore’s internal needs
   
   

3. Modeling floating offshore wind turbines in OrcaFlex
   
   

4. Designing, modeling, and analyzing mooring systems for deep-sea applications
   
   

5. Exploring technical solutions for deep-sea FOWT mooring systems
   
   

Prior to this degree, I completed a foundation Master’s in Mechanics and Environment at École Centrale de Nantes, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from JNT University, India. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong base in fluid mechanics and fluid behavior under various conditions. The foundation Master’s helped me gain deeper insight into optimization techniques for complex mechanical problems.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve been consistently involved in both analytical and numerical work—ranging from theoretical studies and simulation-based research to hands-on lab work and engineering projects.

To sum up, I’m a passionate marine engineer with a strong academic foundation in marine technology and offshore wind energy, backed by industry experience and a solid background in research and technical development.
