Alyssa is an enthusiastic teacher and a mom of two girls, Carmelle and Olivia. This year will be her 13th year as a teacher, which has been her dream since she was in 1st grade. When she was a classroom teacher, she taught third and fourth grade students. Alyssa now works as a Gifted Site Coordinator and teaches Gifted Resource students in kindergarten through 5th grade. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a master's degree in the Art of Teaching and has an add-on certification in Gifted Education. Alyssa loves to read fantasy, science fiction, and romantic comedies! She is so excited share her love of reading with you through this podcast!  

Leah is a first grade gifted teacher going into her 13th year. She started her career teaching a 2nd and 3rd grade combination class. Her undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education Pk-3rd grade. Leah also has a master's degree in Child Development. Her passion has always been instilling a love for reading in her students. Leah loves to read and talk about books with anyone! Her book club, Cover Girls, is near and dear to her heart. She is looking forward to sharing her love of reading with everyone who listens!
