Here's who we're hoping creates or gets nominated...

the HUGE number of teachers out there doing cool things with tech in their classrooms, but maybe aren't sharing their great ideas widely yet (e.g., not on twitter or giving presentations at conferences)
teachers that are doing great things but are so humble that they might need a little 'nudge' from a colleague like you
teachers that are looking to spread their wings and connect beyond their building
teachers who want to pay it forward

Celebrate a Google-based or web-based tool idea and put your (or their) name forward by clicking on the image at the top of this page. A Moderator will reach out to that teacher via email to see if they'd be interested in contributing to the Crowd-Sourcing Promising Practices community!

*SAMPLE NOMINATION STORY*

I know that my friend across the hall is using Google Sites with her students to create marketing tools for an advertising unit. It's super fun, the students are really engaged, and teachers could benefit by this friend sharing a 5-10 minute overview on Turning Up Teachers. NOMINATION SENT

A few days later my friend tells me that a Crowd Sourcing Promising Practices Moderator contacted her and heard she is doing something cool with Google Sites and set up a time to do a Google Hangout to screen-record some of the ideas. It's going to go on the Turning Up Teachers YouTube Channel. She's nervous, but the Moderator is going to walk her through the process.

She has now shared on YouTube and has decided that it was an empowering experience and has nominated another teacher down the hall who is doing great things with Google Sheets for art!

It's win-win. The learning community has another great teacher-created tutorial and a teacher's voice has been turned up to 11!
