As Turnbull High School prepares to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, we aren’t just looking back at old photographs and dusty trophies—we are looking at the people who made this school a community.
To mark this incredible milestone, we are launching the Gathering Voices Exhibition, and we need your story to make it complete.
What is Gathering Voices?
Every student who has walked through our doors has a unique journey. Whether you are a current pupil, a parent, or a former student from our opening decade, your path to Turnbull is part of our shared history.
We want to capture the "how" and the "why." How did your family come to be part of the Turnbull High School community?
We are looking for:
The Pioneers:
Did you or your parents join us back in the 1970s? What was it like being part of the very first cohorts?
The Generations:
Are you the second or third generation in your family to wear the Turnbull blazer?
The Newcomers:
Have you recently moved to the area? What was your first impression of joining our school family?
The Global Stories:
Did your journey to Turnbull start in another city or even another country?
We also want to hear some about some memorable moments. Do you have any funny stories? Any lessons that stuck with you? School trip stories? We want to hear it all!
We'd also LOVE some photographs from over the last 50 years if you have them!
How can you get involved?
You can click on one of the images below to send us your story. Each category has a different set of prompts, so please select the one that is the best fit for you.
If you have any photographs you'd be happy to share, please send these to our school office via email at office@turnbull.e-dunbarton.sch.uk with the subject line '50th anniversary'.
Alternatively, you can hand these in to the school office, but please make sure you include your name so that these can be returned to you.
