Turing Town originated as a number station – a radio station broadcasting code – during the First World War, inhabited by codemakers, codebreakers, and their families. Eventually a town formed around Wolfe Station. In 1921, the town's existence was officialized. It was renamed Turing Town in 1971, in honour of Alan Turing and the town's 50th anniversary.
The weather in Turing Town stays cloudy yet bright throughout the year, with few exceptions. Temperatures stay in the 16-20°s in summer and the -20°s in winter.
A fog routinely covers the town and Breakers have found it safest to stay indoors in these instances, so we suggest caution. Stay safe!
