Our Turing Math-A-Thons are a series of bimonthly, high schooler-led math competitions for young teenagers. The competition math level is recommended for middle school students (grades 7-8), but advanced elementary school students (grades 5-6) are welcome to compete! No prior competition experience or math prerequisite is needed as our tests are comprehensive and full of variety, so they are suitable for students of all levels. Our competitions are fully funded and 100% free to attend, so invite your friends to join you!
Competitions typically place on Saturday mornings at the community room at the Carmel Valley Library.
Our past competitions include:
Saturday, January 27th, 2024
Saturday, October 7th, 2023
Saturday, June 17th, 2023

Following competitions will be held every other month.
How long will the competition/test take?
The test itself is pretty short, less than an hour! Right after the test, we will have a quick grading period, roughly 20 minutes. During this time, competitors are free to relax or explore the library. At around 12:00 pm we'll welcome everyone back in (parents included!) for an informal awards ceremony! Everyone should be ready to go home shortly after noon.
Here are some highlights from our previous competitions:
Although our main goal is to instill an individual sense of passion and excitement in mathematics rather than foster competition, we will be offering prizes to award top scorers for their amazing efforts.
All competitors will receive participation awards.
