Graduate Students
MS and Ph.D. graduate student positions are available in Turgut Tut Lab. Applicants are expected to conduct research projects in the area of thin film opto-electronic devices (micro-nano pilllars, photodetectors, photonic crystals, plasmonic devices, transistors, MEMS), micro/nano fabrication (nanosphere lithography, PECVD and CVD growth of thin films, RIE Etching, Wet etching, Sputtering, Raman spectroscopy, XRD, AFM, SEM, TEM, FIB imaging and nanofabrication tools, experience in photonic simulation softwares (MEEP, RSOFT Fullwave, Lumerical Solutions, ANSYS, COMSOL etc.). The competitive candidates must be highly motivated, creative, open-minded and have excellent academic achievements in a major field of Physics, Applied mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology or a closely related discipline. Undergraduate Students
We are looking for motivated, hardworking, and smart undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and very good English language and experimental handcraft. If your GPA is below 3.0, yet you possess unique skills such as 3D drawing, advanced coding (Fortran, Python) or you have an idea which you believe is valuable and will make an impact, you might be given an exception.
