GPT-4 Turbo is a large multimodal model (accepting text or image inputs and generating text) that can solve difficult problems with greater accuracy than any of OpenAI's previous models. The third generation embeddings models support reducing the size of the embedding via a new dimensions parameter. Typically larger embeddings are more expensive from a compute, memory, and storage perspective. Being able to adjust the number of dimensions allows more control over overall cost and performance. The dimensions parameter is not supported in all versions of the OpenAI 1.x Python library, to take advantage of this parameter we recommend upgrading to the latest version: pip install openai --upgrade.

i have the identical problem with Windows 10. I have tried all of the support teams suggestions but still get the black activation screen. I have uninstalled and re-installed TurboTax. I have changed display settings. I have disabled my firewall. I have added TurboTax and CelfSharp.browser.subprocces.exe as safe programs in Windows Defender. I have run TT in Windows 8 compatibility mode. I have downloaded the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++. I have turned off my second monitor. None of these changes solved my black Activation Screen problem.

I figured out the issue on my own. Over the years of having Windows 10/11, something got corrupted in the Windows directory that was preventing that popup window from displaying properly. I reinstalled windows and the issue resolved itself and now I can see the popup window.

This is an update on my efforts to activate TurboTax 2023 on Windows 10.

I reset the user Temp and Tmp environmental variables back to their original values. I then ran DISM and SFC /scannow which found and corrected some corrupt system files. I ran SFC /scannow a 2nd time and it gave me an everything correct result.

I've spent the last two days trying to install desktop TurboTax Standard Version 2022. I've tried twice from the purchased CD and twice by downloading it from the website. Between each I uninstalled the app, deleted the program directory, cleaned the registry, cleared the cached and restarted my PC. It seems I'm able to successfully install to TurboTax but when I launch it it won't go past the logo screen so I can enter my license!

I've also checked the following: 1) Windows 11 up to date 2) All drivers up to date 3) Reinstalled Windows C++ current version. I've spoken to two Intuit support staff, one connected to my PC to assist, he ended up referring me to Microsoft. I called Microsoft and they check everything out and referred me back to Intuit. As it's very difficult for an Intuit user to find this support forum I suspect only a small percentage have been able to report this issue. I'm at my wits end, as I'm sure most users are!!!

Make sure you don't have any online tracking software to improve your privacy such as CCleaner's Kamo installed as this will prevent TurboTax from launching. Just stopping it doesn't make a difference, you need to remove it from your PC!

There is no white box. In the center of my screen is the square blue logo with the red circle checkmark and the title Intuit turbotax ... there is no turbotax indicator in my taskbar to show it's running ... when I check taskmaster it shows CPU=0%, Memory=36.8mb .... it's like the app just stops and doesn't proceed to where you enter your license number.
