Tunebit Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-23
This Privacy Policy explains how Tunebit ("Tunebit", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the app. We built Tunebit to be private by design: there are no accounts, no tracking, and your creations live on your device. Please read this policy carefully. By using Tunebit, you agree to the practices described here.
Summary (the short version)
We do not require an account or sign-in.
We do not collect personal information, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.
The text you type and the choices you make are sent to our AI provider only to generate your music, cover art, and chat replies. They are not stored on our servers (we don't operate any).
Everything you create is stored only on your device and can be erased at any time with one tap.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Tunebit is built and operated by the Tunebit developer ("the developer"). For any privacy question or request, contact us at bang77bang88@gmail.com
2. Information we do NOT collect
Tunebit is designed to function without collecting personal data. Specifically, we do not collect or process:
Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address.
Account credentials — there are no accounts and no login.
Advertising identifiers (such as the iOS IDFA) or device fingerprints.
Location data.
Contacts, photos, calendar, health, or other system data.
Usage analytics, crash analytics, or behavioral profiles collected by us.
We do not embed any third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising software development kits (SDKs).
3. Information you provide and how it is used
To create music, generate matching cover art, and power the in-app assistant, the app sends the content you actively provide to our AI provider, Replicate, Inc. ("Replicate"). This content may include:
Music prompts: the text description you type (for example, "calm piano for a study video") and the mood, style, and length you select.
Cover art prompts: when scene art generation is enabled, a text description derived from your music prompt is sent to create a matching image.
Assistant messages: the messages you type to the in-app AI assistant, along with the ongoing conversation, so the assistant can understand your request and recommend settings.
This information is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection directly from your device to Replicate's API for the sole purpose of generating the output you requested. We use it only to fulfill your request. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not associate it with your identity, because we do not collect identifying information.
4. Our AI provider (sub-processor)
Tunebit uses Replicate, Inc. to run the AI models that generate your music, images, and assistant replies. The models currently used include third-party models hosted on Replicate (for example, an ElevenLabs music model, a Black Forest Labs image model, and an Anthropic language model). When you generate content, your prompt is processed by Replicate and the relevant model provider to return a result.
Replicate processes your request to generate output and return it to your device.
Tunebit does not operate its own servers and does not retain your prompts or outputs anywhere outside your device.
Replicate's handling of data is governed by Replicate's own privacy policy, available at https://replicate.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, the independent data practices of Replicate or the underlying model providers, but we send them only the content necessary to fulfill your request.
5. On-device storage
Everything you create and configure stays on your device:
Generated audio tracks and any generated cover images are saved inside the app's private storage area (the app sandbox).
Track titles, prompts, your chosen mood/style/length, creation dates, and app settings are stored locally using on-device storage.
The in-app assistant conversation lives in memory during your session and is not uploaded to us.
Because this data is stored locally, it is subject to your device's own security (such as your passcode and device encryption). It is not synced to any cloud service by us.
6. Deleting your data
You are always in control of your data:
Clear all data: open Settings → Clear all data to immediately and permanently delete all saved tracks, cover images, titles, and other local data.
Delete a single track: remove any individual track from the Library.
Uninstall: deleting the app removes all of its on-device data.
Deletion on your device is immediate and cannot be undone. Because we do not keep copies on a server, there is nothing further for us to delete on our side.
7. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our processing of the content you submit is based on:
Performance of a service you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): we transmit your prompt to the AI provider so we can deliver the music, image, or reply you asked for.
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), where applicable, which you may withdraw at any time by not submitting content or by clearing your data.
We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability, under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Because Tunebit does not collect personal information and stores your content only on your device, you can exercise the most important of these rights directly and instantly using Settings → Clear all data or by uninstalling the app. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not process sensitive personal information for profiling.
If you have any request or question about your rights, contact us at bang77bang88@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Data security
We rely on encrypted HTTPS connections for all requests sent from the app to our AI provider, and on your device's built-in protections for locally stored content. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because we do not maintain servers or databases of user content, the risk surface is intentionally minimal.
10. International data transfers
When the app sends your prompt to Replicate, the request may be processed on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using the app's AI features, you understand that your submitted content is transmitted to and processed by our AI provider for the purpose of generating your requested output, as described in this policy and in Replicate's privacy policy.
11. Children's privacy
Tunebit is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect it from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will address it.
12. Third-party content and links
This policy applies only to Tunebit. It does not apply to external websites or services that you may reach through links (such as our AI provider's website or our support page), which are governed by their own privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the app or its store listing. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact us
