How We Started
One day, three best friends met to gather their donated items they had collected after a spring cleaning. There was so much, we thought to market it as a free "event" to come pick up what anyone in the local community needed, like a free garage sale.
The early success was driven by this event hosted for the community to come pick up free lightly used clothes, household, and baby items donated by the founding members. Once we saw the large turnout and quick depletion of the donated inventory, we saw we had a bigger need we had to fill and sparked the idea of the Tulsa Resource Hub. The first donation event provided hundreds of donated items, establishing a strong community support model from the start.
