Q. What ID do I need to get notarized?
A. You may present a valid Driver License, Identification Card, Passport Book, Passport Card, Consular Card (make sure it's not expired).
Q. What time do you Open/Close?
A. We are technically open most of the time. But you must call ahead to schedule an appointment.
Q. Do you do notarizations in prison/jails?
A. Yes. However, you must schedule your appointment ahead of time as there are preparations that must be made for the appointment. Fees are higher than in-town notarizations due to travel and time to get permissions/authorizations and conduct the notarization.
Q. Do you do notarizations at hospitals and nursing homes?
A. Yes. However in this case there are special requirements.
The person being notarized must have their physical ID with them at the appointment to show the notary, no copies are allowed.
The person being notarized must be able to clearly communicate and understand what is being signed.
Keep in mind that a Power of Attorney many times requires witnesses, these must be available at the time the notary arrives.
Lastly, if the person can't physically sign the document due to their condition, there may be alternative methods authorized, but they come with their own set of rules and restrictions.
