Use and Support

Review the Student Quick Start Guide for Respondus LockDown Browser.

• To take a test, you will log into Blackboard with a regular browser, select your course, and navigate to the test or quiz.

• If LockDown browser has not been previously installed, you will be prompted to download and install it. Otherwise, LockDown Browser will open with the test.

If you need further support, try one of the following options:

Respondus LockDown Browser on Chromebook and iPad

Your professor may allow you to use Respondus LockDown Browser on your Chromebook and iPad. 

Chromebook users can install the browser as an extension using the download link above. If your Chromebook is managed by your school, you may need to contact your school's Chromebook administration for permission to install the browser extension. Provide them with the directions to allow the extension.
Once the browser extension is installed, your Chromebook will automatically launch it at the appropriate time.

Your professor may also allow you to use Respondus LockDown Browser on your iPad. These directions to install the Respondus LockDown Browser app on iPad can help.
