Perspectives and Insights
TUSC aims to deliver panels and speakers from current surgeons, anesthesiologists, scrub nurses, and other surgery-related professions to discuss their professional experiences. Additionally, TUSC places an emphasis on inclusivity and overcoming adversity and will highlight this by having events regarding diversity in surgery, Tulane's impact on the greater New Orelans community through efforts to make surgery more accessible for patients, as well as the pathway to surgery for current physicians- including how these professionals were able to overcome personal hardships.

TUSC seeks to create a collaborative environment designed as a hub for the sharing of resources and opportunities to allow members to gain clarity regarding the steps needed for a career in surgery. Members must be able to work well with others and bring a postive attitude to ensure success in TUSC
