B12 is a club that was initially established to provide an environment where females were empowered to engage in physical activity. After 2 years focusing mainly on females getting involved in sport we widened our vision and decided to focus on WHĀNAU getting involved in sport. Māmā, Pāpā and their tamariki playing alongside, and inspiring each other.
The founders, Kylie Joe and Guy Barton, both share a huge amount of knowledge and passion for Touch and decided to use Touch as the vehicle to healthy, happy and confident whanau.
The name B12 simply came from a vitamin that is vital in creating DNA. The idea being that we wanted to create positive strands of DNA within our club members. DNA representing values, morals, standards, resilience, humility, integrity, honesty, determination and commitment. Qualities we believe will help to develop great human beings!
We are proud to be collaborating with Outkast and College Touch.
The College Touch Club was born out of the need to give our kids more opportunities to play Touch in a fun and competitive environment. Made up predominantly of College Street Normal School students (both ex and current) it has since developed into a way of reconnecting with classmates and friends through the game we love.
