BB 677: Introduction to Biomechanics
Conceptual understanding plus light quantitative work, with explicit biomedical applications each week (tissues, organs, imaging, diagnostics, simple computational experiments). Topics: a) Review of statics, b) Review of SDOF dynamics, c) Solid mechanics (stress, strain, constitutive relations, SFD/BMD, viscoelasticity, poroelasticity), d) Introduction to acoustic waves, e) Applications via research papers and case studies.
BB 899: Communication Skills (Module: Patent)
This course provides training in scientific writing, presentation, and communication of biomedical research. Among its various components, the Patent Module will be taught by Dr. Tuhin Roy, covering the fundamentals of intellectual property protection and the patenting process.
