I currently work on the topic of classical simulation of quantum computation mainly from the prospective of Gottesman-Knill theorem, exploring notions of stabilizer states, Wigner function and contextuality. I'm starting to think about tensor network simulation and simulation of noisy quantum circuits in general. For quantum supremacy and NISQ device, relatively efficient simulation schemes not only push the boundary of supremacy further but also provide more efficient verification to the samples of the quantum devices. I'm also interested in VQE, quantum simulation and error correction.

In my spare time, I have wide interests in history, politics and society, recently on history of science.
