Programs that may qualify for Rebates

Rainwater harvesting & cisterns

Store roof water in a tank for plants or irrigation. Typical steps: plan size/location → install pad, piping, overflow → submit invoice + photos for rebate.

Drip irrigation retrofit & Xeriscape

Switch to efficient drip and drought-tough plants. Steps: scope zones → install filter/regulator/emitters → remove thirsty turf if included → submit photos + invoice.

Gray water (laundry-to-landscape)

Send washing-machine water to trees and basins via a diverter. We’ll flag simple permit tips, safe soaps, and photo angles the program wants. 

Rain gardens / biowales / curb cuts (GSI)

Guide street or roof runoff into planted basins. Steps: design basins/slopes, cut curb (where allowed), plant natives, add rock mulch → submit map/photos for incentives.

The Rebate Steps (5 simple stages)

1. Quick intake (1 minute): tell us your project + snap photos.

2. Match with 2–3 licensed pros: you pick who to quote/hire.

3. Install: contractor does the work; we keep a photo checklist handy.

4. Paperwork & photos: submit the right forms on time. (see form links below)

5. Rebate processed: program reviews and issues payment per their rules.

Photo Checklist (what reviewers want)

• Before: wide shot of the area (street/house context).

• During: key parts (tank pad, piping, drip regulator/filter, gray-water diverter, curb cut/basin).

• After: wide “finished” shot + close-ups (labels, emitters, overflow).

• Receipts/invoice from a licensed contractor.

Avoid these common blockers 

• Unlicensed or uninsured installer (we'll help you avoid these)

• Missing photos (especially before/during)

• Overflow from cistern not routed to a basin

• Drip without a filter/pressure regulator

• Curb cut without proper slope/edge protection
