This event will be our 17th festival! It’s an informal 3-day event held at Catalina State Park on the north side of Tucson. Accommodations will be camping primarily, although there are some hotels relatively close by. The festival operates entirely by donation, however the park requires a small camping fee. Plenty of time to juggle, hike, juggle, eat, and juggle some more. If you plan on attending it would help us greatly if you email info@tucsonjuggling.org with an idea of how many people will be here and your estimated arrival and departure dates (from the Catalina State Park campsite).
We would like to make an effort to reduce disposable plastic water bottle waste by providing multiple refillable 5 gallon water dispensers. We will keep the water dispensers filled throughout the weekend with clean potable water for drinking and cooking. No need to bring prepackaged bottled water, just bring your reusable water bottles, jugs, and canteens.
We would also like to remind everyone to please take any food you don't eat with you when leaving the camp site.
There is power at the bathrooms on site, however we may not use an extension cord to bring the power to our group area.
Something we would like to say is that being an outdoor festival held at a state park, we are sometimes affected by weather and state park regulations which may require us to change our plans at the last minute. This has only happened twice in 16 years, so we don't expect it very often.
We run entirely on donations. If you can afford to donate, thank you!
We will be doing stenciling again this year, so bring something to decorate (shirt, bag, etc).
Thursday : After noon we will be arriving to setup and will camp out. If you would like to come help, feel free to arrive on this day.
Friday : Arrive and set up your camp.
Saturday : Wake up and juggle! We will provide catered lunch (Mexican food) and dinner (pizza). Let us know if you have dietary needs or requests for alternatives and we will do our best to accomodate.
Sunday : Slowly pack up while getting side-tracked to juggle with people you didn't juggle with earlier.
We are in the Fly Catcher group camp area of Catalina State Park. We will supply firewood and kindling if the Park is allowing campfires at the time we are present.
We send out mail about a month before our festival, and if we know of any other juggling festivals in Arizona.
Thanks to those who have donated their time, efforts and prizes for the raffle in the past. Special thanks goes to the following:
