No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Tubi from you as an app user.
Saved favorites, browsing history, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Tubi is built to help you discover and browse free entertainment content with confidence. We designed this app so you can explore movies and shows, save titles you care about, and personalize your experience — without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
Photos, contacts, or camera data
Precise GPS location
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power your browsing experience, Tubi stores the following locally on your device only (Room database and DataStore preferences):
Saved favorites (movies and shows you bookmark)
Recently viewed titles in your history
App settings (such as theme preferences)
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
Tubi is designed for local processing wherever possible. Core features — including favorites, browsing history, search filters, category browsing, and settings — run on your device using locally stored data.
Your saved favorites and app preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can view your bookmarked titles offline after they have been saved to your device.
An internet connection is needed to load poster and backdrop images and to browse the entertainment catalog displayed in the app.
5. Content Display and Third-Party Images
Entertainment listings shown in the app are provided through a built-in sample catalog for discovery and browsing. Poster and backdrop images may be loaded from third-party placeholder image services (such as picsum.photos) when you browse content.
Your favorites and browsing history within the app are read from your device's local database only.
If you share content using your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us.
6. Advertising
Tubi displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between main sections.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.
You can limit ad personalization on your device through:
Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services
Tubi may load images and content metadata from external services to display posters, backdrops, and catalog information. These services may log standard technical requests (such as IP address) according to their own policies.
Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. We do not send your favorites, browsing history, or app preferences to third-party content providers. When you use any external link outside the app, that action is handled by the respective platform — not by Tubi collecting additional data from you.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Tubi.
Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob. Third-party websites you visit through external links may use their own cookies and tracking — please review their privacy policies separately.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Internet access — required for loading content images, browsing the catalog, and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob
Network state — used to check connectivity before network requests
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, precise location, or notifications. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.
Your locally saved favorites and history data remain on your device during normal app use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your favorites, browsing history, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. Favorites and history are stored using Room Database. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for users who want to discover entertainment content. It is designed as a browsing utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → Tubi → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored favorites, browsing history, and app preferences from the app's private storage area. You can also clear watch history from within the app using the History tab in My Library.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
