Cleanliness is at the top of this list because it is most important to us. We know that our tubs will be moving around from household to household, therefore we take our cleaning process extremely serious between rentals. Our process is as follows:
Drain tub and bring back to mi casa
Rinse and wipe down tub and cover with cloth
Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water, and add 2 tsp. mild dish detergent.
Submerge cloth into the bucket, and wring it out. Wipe down the inner liner of the tub and the cover with the cloth to remove any dirt or residue. Rinse the sponge or cloth in the bucket as needed.
Once a month and we use a stronger product called Bioguard Remedy Off The Wall Spa Surface Cleaner. After using this product we thoroughly rinse the liner to remove any of its residue.
After all cleanings we lay the tub and cover out in the open air/sun to let dry.
One of the downsides of owning hot tub is the water treatment and maintenance. With Tub Hub we take care of that for you. During set up we will complete the water treatment and give you easy to follow directions for maintenance depending on the duration of your rental.
Tub Hub follows the Softub Spas® manufacture's guide to chemical use and care.
1. Test Strips - These help you determine which chemicals are needed to maintain the proper sanitizer level. Test strips for a Softub need to measure Chlorine, PH, and Alkalinity. Some strips measure other parameters such as Bromine, Cyanuric Acid, Hardness, etc. These measurements are not necessary in most Softub applications and can be disregarded.
2. Measuring Cup
3. Softcare-Chlor - This is a chlorine based granular concentrate used as a sanitizer for vinyl-lined spas. The ideal level for chlorine is in the range of 3-5 ppm (parts per million).
4. Softcare-Gon - This is a sequestering agent that will prevent staining due to minerals found in water such as calcium, iron, copper and manganese. Softcare-Gon should be allowed to circulate in a completely filled spa for at least 30 minutes before balancing the water.
5. Softcare-pH Up and Softcare-pH Down - These two products are used to adjust the pH and total alkalinity as determined on your test strips. The total alkalinity should be between 100-120 ppm. Both Softcare-pH Up and Softcare-pH Down adjust pH faster than the alkalinity. The ideal pH level is 7.4 - 7.6.
One of the great things about Softub Spas is they can be conveniently plugged into any isolated 15 Amp 115 volt outlet. It will need to be on a dedicated breaker of at least 15 amps minimum, and Tub Hub has a system to make sure that is the case. Installation will take place 36-48 hours before use to give the tub enough time to reach the desired 104 temperature. It is important to keep on the sealed, high-density insulated cover, which keeps the heat from escaping when the tub is heating up or not in use.
This tub offers many different spa experiences and they are displayed on the control panel. On the panel you will find the temperature most comfortable for you. The thermostat will automatically turn the tub on and off as the temperature falls below, then reaches, the set temperature to maintain the water temperature you have selected, 24 hours a day. Your Softub Spa will automatically display the temp of the water in your spa, whenever the pump is on and has been running for 2 minutes continuously. A “P” will be displayed when the pump is not on, to indicate that the water near the temperature sensors must be purged to get an accurate reading of the water temperature. To display the water temperature when “P” is showing on the display, press the “JETS” button. After 2 minutes, the water temp will be displayed. To set the temperature, press the up or down arrow once to display the current setting. Then, use the up and down arrows to adjust the temperature to the setting you desire. The current temperature setting will display for 5 seconds after the up or down buttons are pressed. After this time has elapsed, the display will revert to displaying the water temperature.
