Women in Physics (WiP) at Texas Tech University was founded in January 2018. Our purpose is to improve the recruitment and retention of minorities, primarily women and gender minorities, in physics and astronomy by providing opportunities for professional development through community building, networking, and mentoring. Membership is open to all undergraduate students at Texas Tech University, regardless of gender or major.

APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) are three-day regional conferences for undergraduate physics majors. CUWiP 2024 was held Friday, January 19 - Sunday, January 21, 2024. The goal of APS CUWiP is to help undergraduate women continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school and professions in physics, and access to other women in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. The national and local organizing committees of APS CUWiP strive to create a welcoming environment for all, including undergraduate women and gender minorities.
Check back later in 2024 for more information about applications for CUWiP 2025!
