The workshop will be held at TTIC, which is at 6045 S. Kenwood Ave. on the campus of the University of Chicago.
TTIC occupies the 4th and 5th floors of the building at 6045 S. Kenwood. Most group activities will take place in Room 526 on the 5th floor, including talks and daily sync-up meetings. We also have access to meeting spaces on the 4th floor and 5th floors, including rooms 435 and 501.
Outside normal working hours (approx 8:30am-5:30pm), the building doors and elevators will require a UChicago card to access. Please contact any TTIC or UChicago workshop participant to let you in if you get trapped.
TTIC will provide a continental breakfast and 3pm coffee/tea/cookie breaks each day of the workshop. On Friday, July 27th, lunch will be catered at TTIC.
For lunch and dinner, there are many options on the UChicago campus as well as in Hyde Park:
On Wednesday and Thursday evenings we will have optional (but free & awesome) social events downtown:
Free street parking can be found on 61st Street (between Woodlawn Ave and Blackstone Ave) and on Dorchester Street (between 60th and 61st Streets), and on many other streets near TTIC (just beware of "permit parking" and "street cleaning" signs!).
There is also free parking in the commuter parking lot at 60th St and Stony Island Ave.
TTIC will reimburse lodging for participants but will not be able to cover flights, transportation charges, or other incidental expenses.
