If you want a lightweight, ultra-slim earbud specifically engineered for side sleepers with small canals who need a long-lasting battery and fast charging, choose Ttbesmi SM01; if you need versatile wireless headphones that double as waterproof swim gear and feature a dedicated sleep mode to prevent accidental button presses, choose Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones. This comparison is not about which device has the highest rating or the cheapest tag, but about which design actually fits your unique head shape and lifestyle without causing pain or frustration.
• Ttbesmi SM01: Its greatest strength is the specialized split silicone and U-shaped flap design that secures tiny buds in small ear canals while remaining invisible to others; its trade-off is a single-use focus on sleep rather than general sports or swimming.
• Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones: It excels with IPX6 waterproofing that allows for underwater use and a "sleep mode" that locks out accidental touches, though it lacks the specific ergonomic curvature of the SM01 designed strictly for tight canals.
• The Ttbesmi SM01 is the ideal choice for those seeking a dedicated gaming headset for small ears or wireless headphones for small ears that stay put all night without pressure.
• The Hulaed option suits users who want a multi-purpose pair of noise canceling ear clip headphones for small ears that can transition from a quiet bedroom to a poolside workout.
The Ttbesmi SM01 is built around a singular, highly specific goal: making sure you can wear earbuds while lying on your side without waking up with soreness. This minimal mass is crucial because when you are trying to drift off, every gram feels heavier against your pillow. The manufacturer uses liquid silicone, a material chosen specifically to avoid the swelling and discomfort often caused by traditional hard plastic earbuds. If you have ever tried to sleep with standard headphones only to wake up with a throbbing ear, this design philosophy addresses that exact pain point.
For individuals with smaller ear canals, the fit is the primary selling point. The buds are described as slim and mini, designed to follow the natural curve of the ear canal. They utilize a split silicone design combined with U-shaped ear flaps. This isn't just about comfort; it is about stability. The claim is that these will not fall off during the night, even if you toss and turn. This makes the SM01 a strong candidate for anyone looking for a gaming headset for small ears where immersion matters, or simply for someone who needs a reliable connection for audiobooks while sleeping. The "positively invisible" nature means you won't feel self-conscious wearing them in bed, as they sit discreetly within the ear.

Battery life is another area where the SM01 stands out for the heavy sleeper. You get five hours of continuous playtime on a single charge, which covers most nights comfortably. However, the real value lies in the case, which extends total usage to 42 hours. The inclusion of Type C fast charging is a practical detail that changes the user experience significantly; a mere ten minutes of charging provides ninety minutes of listening time. This is perfect for those who forget to charge their devices overnight. If you are the type of person who needs to grab the earbuds quickly in the morning to listen to a podcast before work, this rapid recharge capability is a massive convenience.
However, there is a clear boundary for who should skip this product. If your primary use case involves water sports like swimming or snorkeling, the SM01 is not the right tool. While it is comfortable and stable, the data does not list an IPX6 or higher waterproof rating, meaning it is not built to withstand submersion. Furthermore, if you are looking for a headphone that offers active noise cancellation through electronic means, the SM01 relies on its physical seal and sound isolation rather than digital noise-canceling chips. It is a dedicated sleep companion, not a multipurpose audio device.
The Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones take a different approach by prioritizing versatility and user control over the specialized ergonomics of the Ttbesmi. These earbuds are marketed as "invisible," sitting discreetly in the ear to hide at work or during sleep. A standout feature here is the dedicated "sleep mode." When activated, this mode disables all buttons, ensuring that you do not accidentally pause your music or change tracks while you are tossing and turning in your sleep. This software-level safeguard is a significant advantage for people who are prone to fidgeting with controls while half-asleep. It solves a common problem where a simple touch can ruin a playlist or silence a white noise track needed for deep rest.
Water resistance is where the Hulaed truly separates itself from many competitors in this category. With an IPX6 professional deep waterproof rating, these earbuds are built to handle sweat, rain, and even submersion. The data explicitly states support for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. This makes them an excellent choice for athletes who want to listen to music while training in the pool or running in the rain. Unlike the Ttbesmi, which focuses heavily on the "in-ear" seal for sleep, the Hulaed emphasizes a design where you don't need to push deeply into the ear canal, reducing the risk of soreness during long-term wear. This open-fit style can be more comfortable for people who find the deep insertion of other models irritating after a few hours.
Audio performance is driven by a Bluetooth 5.3 chip, which offers a wide range of compatibility and stable connections. The use of a binaural chip suggests a focus on stereo separation, creating a 3D surround sound experience. The description mentions a "whale cavity" technology, implying a specific acoustic design intended to deliver dynamic and balanced audio. Whether you are driving, running, or sleeping, the goal is clear sound without the constraints of wires. The built-in noise reduction microphone also adds utility for calls, making these a viable option for someone who wants one pair of headphones for the gym, the office, and the bedroom.
Despite these strengths, there are scenarios where the Hulaed might not be the best fit. Users with very small ear canals might find the lack of a specific "U-shaped" stabilizer less secure than the Ttbesmi SM01. The Hulaed relies on the fit of the eartips and caps, which may not offer the same level of retention for side sleepers who move aggressively during the night. Additionally, while it offers sound isolation, it does not explicitly advertise active noise cancellation (ANC) in the same way some high-end models do; it relies on the physical barrier of the eartip to block external noise. If your primary need is absolute silence in a noisy environment, the passive isolation might not be enough compared to electronic solutions.
When deciding between these two, you must look past the specs and think about your nightly routine. If you are a side sleeper with small ears, the physical architecture of the bud matters more than the brand name. The Ttbesmi SM01 is essentially a custom-molded experience made of soft liquid silicone, designed to hug the ear's contours. It is built to disappear under a pillow. The Hulaed, while comfortable, is a more generalist device. It is designed to be worn anywhere, from a swim meet to a business meeting.
Consider the battery cycle as well. If you are a heavy listener who goes to bed late and wakes up early, the 42-hour total capacity of the Ttbesmi gives you a week of buffer before you need to plug in the case. The Hulaed offers 6-8 hours of continuous use, which is generous for a single night, but if you rely on these for long workdays or extended travel, you might find yourself charging them more frequently. The fast-charging feature of the SM01 is a game-changer for forgetful users, whereas the Hulaed focuses on the durability of the battery life itself.
Another critical factor is the environment. Do you sweat? Do you swim? If yes, the Hulaed is the only logical choice due to its IPX6 rating. If you stay dry and mostly indoors, the Ttbesmi's focus on comfort and weight takes precedence. The "noise canceling" aspect is also nuanced here. The Ttbesmi uses a combination of physical fit and likely passive isolation, while the Hulaed uses sound isolation via eartips. Neither explicitly claims active electronic noise cancellation in the provided data sheets, so you should expect both to rely on blocking sound physically rather than electronically cancelling out background noise.
Who should skip the Ttbesmi SM01? Anyone who needs to swim or engage in water sports should look elsewhere, as the lack of a waterproof rating makes it unsuitable for wet environments. Who should skip the Hulaed? Those with extremely small ear canals who struggle to keep standard buds in place might find the Hulaed less secure than the SM01's specialized U-shaped flaps. It comes down to whether you prioritize the ultimate comfort for sleeping or the versatility for active living.
In my opinion, I would buy the Ttbesmi SM01 if my primary goal is to finally get a good night's sleep without ear pain. The combination of its ultra-lightweight design, the specific split silicone construction for small ears, and the incredible 42-hour battery life makes it the superior tool for its intended purpose. It feels like a device that was engineered by someone who understands the unique challenges of side sleeping better than anyone else.
However, if I were an active swimmer or runner who wanted one pair of headphones to handle everything from the shower to the bedroom, I would choose the Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones. The IPX6 waterproofing and the smart sleep mode that prevents accidental button presses offer a level of utility that the SM01 cannot match. Ultimately, for small ears specifically, the Ttbesmi SM01 wins on pure comfort and fit, while the Hulaed wins on versatility and tech features.
Both the Ttbesmi SM01 and the Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones are fully wireless devices that connect via Bluetooth, eliminating any need for cables that could tangle or pull during sleep.
Only the Hulaed Invisible Sleep Headphones are rated IPX6 waterproof, making them suitable for swimming and intense workouts, whereas the Ttbesmi SM01 is designed primarily for indoor sleep use.
The Ttbesmi SM01 offers 5 hours of playtime on a single charge with a case providing up to 42 hours total, while the Hulaed offers approximately 6-8 hours of continuous use depending on volume and usage patterns.
