札幌のとある水面で、一匹の“しゃけ”が動き出しました。

その動きに導かれるように、また一匹、また一匹と

“しゃけ”たちがやって来ます。

彼らは音に身体をゆらし、声を交わし、水面は大きく波打ち始めます。

しゃけ音楽会とは、その波紋が交差し、広がっていく場。

今年、最後の開催を迎えるこの日、その“ゆらぎ”を記録します。

録音ブースで語られる、しゃけ音楽会への想い。

その声たちは波形として可視化され、

また、重なり合いながらひとつの音楽へと変化していきます。

音とビジュアルが溶け合う、さざめきのアーカイブ。

その波紋が、またいつか別の水面へと届くことを願って。

On the surface of a body of water in Sapporo, a “Syake” starts to move.

As if guided by its movement, another and another 

“Syake” come to the surface.

They sway their bodies to the sound, exchange their voices, and the surface of the water begins to ripple.

Syake Ongakukai is a place where the ripples intersect and spread.

On this day, the last day of this year's festival, we will record these "ripples.

The thoughts and feelings of Syake Ongakukai are spoken in the recording booth.

The voices are visualized as waveforms and 

overlap with each other, transforming into a single piece of music.

A rippling archive of sounds and visuals melting together.

We hope that the ripples will someday reach the surface of another body of water.

旧カトリック小樽教会住之江聖堂

かつて懺悔の場として、人々が自身の内面と向き合ってきた教会の跡地を展示場所としたインスタレーション。

20分の間、来場者は床に腰を下ろし、煙と光の静かな揺らぎを見つめながら、自らの内面と対峙する。

終盤の1分間、強いストロボの閃光が一瞬の目眩のように訪れ、積み重ねられてきた時間や感覚を、一度白紙に戻される。

「Rewrite」をテーマに、光と音、そして空間が交差するこの場で、人がもう一度「今」を始めるための余白を探る。

This installation is presented in the remains of a church—a space where people once confronted their inner selves in confession.
Over a span of 20 minutes, visitors are invited to sit on the floor, quietly observing the gentle fluctuations of smoke and light, facing their own inner worlds.

In the final minute, a burst of intense strobe light arrives like a momentary dizziness, dissolving the accumulated time and sensation—an experience akin to returning to a blank page.

Under the theme of “Rewrite”, this work seeks to carve out a margin for beginning again—here, where light, sound, and space intersect.

私は今まで周りに流されず白黒はっきりと選択してきた。

しかし、どれだけ周りに流されないようにしようと思っても必ずどっちつかずな状態である「GRAY AREA」にぶつかってしまう。そんな白と黒の単純な二元論ではない人間の本質に向き合い、本当の意味での事故を発見する試みがこの「White Out / Black Out」である。

白と黒という明瞭な領域とスモークによって浮かび上がる曖昧な領域の中であなたは何を思うのか。

I have always made my choices in black and white, without being influenced by my surroundings.

However, no matter how hard I try not to be influenced by my surroundings, I always hit the “GRAY AREA”. This “White Out / Black Out” is an attempt to face human nature, which is not a simple dualism of black and white, and to discover the true meaning of accident.

What do you think in the clear area of black and white and the ambiguous area raised by the smoke?
