President & Founder: Sherlley Jacques
The team is led by our founder, Sherlley Jacques, a passionate educator, future nurse, and lifelong learner born and raised in St. Lucie County. With an A.S. in Business Administration from Indian River State College, a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, and currently enrolled in the BSN program at Keiser University, Sherlley brings a unique blend of academic excellence and real-world experience to her leadership.
After working in the legal field and teaching in the classroom, Sherlley discovered her true calling: creating access to quality education for adults who are often left behind. In 2025, she launched the foundation with a mission to bridge the gap in adult learning, providing free and low-cost ESL, GED, and digital literacy classes in a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive environment.
Our board of directors brings diverse strengths to the organization, including backgrounds in education, healthcare, nonprofit leadership, administration, and community outreach. Together, we are united by a shared commitment to equity, empowerment, and measurable impact for every adult learner we serve.
