We use the terms “Breath Flow” and “breathwork” interchangeably.
Breathwork - what we call Breath Flow - can be a powerful tool for relaxation, clarity, and confidence. Just like any wellness practice, it’s important to review a few safety notes before getting started so you feel informed and supported.
Breathwork may create physical or emotional shifts. While this can be beneficial, it may not be suitable for everyone. Please read the following information carefully.
If you have any medical or psychological conditions, please consult a licensed healthcare provider before participating in breathwork sessions.
The following conditions may require special caution:
Heart conditions (including high blood pressure, heart disease, or a history of heart attack)
Eye issues (such as glaucoma or retinal detachment)
Neurological disorders (including seizures or epilepsy)
Breathing conditions (such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Mental health conditions (such as severe anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, or dissociative disorders)
Pregnancy (we do not recommend practicing any fast-paced breathing or long breath holds during pregnancy)
This is not a complete list. If you are unsure whether breathwork is appropriate for you, please speak with your doctor or mental health provider before participating.
Only practice in a quiet, safe place where you won’t be distracted or disturbed.
Never do breathwork while driving, near water, or operating machinery.
Our breath flows include instruction and cues at the beginning and end, but do not provide continuous breath-by-breath guidance throughout. Please take each session at your own pace, and always honor what feels safe and comfortable for your body, even if that differs from what’s suggested.
You are always in control. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, emotionally overwhelmed, or physically unwell, pause the session and check in with yourself.
If you experience severe or concerning physical symptoms, stop immediately and seek medical care.
These practices are designed for guided sessions that match the length of the audio. Please do not extend your practice beyond the audio’s duration unless under professional supervision.
