Hello! Welcome to my homepage. I am a visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, United States. My primary research focuses on development economics, labor economics, and political economy. You can find details of my research HERE and Teaching Here

I earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sussex (United Kingdom), an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and a BA in Economics from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia).

My Full name is Tsegay Gebrekidan Tekleselassie (Geʽez/Amharic/Tigrigna ፀጋይ ገብረኪዳን ተክለስላሴ). For ease of pronunciation, you can call me "t'se-guy" or simply "Se-guy".  As an avid runner I have completed a few marathons notably Berlin, Chicago, and New York City! I completed the 2023 Chicago Marathon in 2:59:16.
