Groupwork instructions
These are the instructions for the groupwork at TRUST-AI 2026. The groupwork will be conducted right after lunch on Day 1 and run for 1,5 hours. Participants break out in groups of 6-7 persons after inital plenary instructions.
Groupwork theme and objective
Theme: General purpose AI in knowledge work
Objective: Identify and prioritize key challenges and research needs to enable trustworthy application of general purpose AI in knowledge work.
Groupwork steps
Step 1. Welcome: Present yourselves and your research interests to each other. Select group leader and presenter (can be the same person) – 10 minutes
Step 2. Scoping: Establish a group understanding of 'general purpose AI' and 'knowledge work'. Scope to a particular field or domain of knowledge work if desired – 10 minutes
Step 3. Individual brainstorming: Key challenges associated with the uptake of general purpose AI in knoweldge work – within established scope – 5 minutes
Step 4. Sharing and prioritizing: Share and discuss identified challenges. Prioritize top three challenges for your group – 35 minutes
Step 5. Adressing: Identify one or more research needs in response to the challenges. Propose a research project idea to address these needs – 15 minutes
Groupwork presentation (day 2)
Each group presents their outcomes to the plenary on Day 2 of the workshop. The presentation should address: (a) scope, (b) top 3 prioritized challenges, (c) research needs and project idea - 3-4 minutes pr. group.
