ESTABLISHED 2023

Trumbull Area Sports Network began regional coverage in the Fall 2023 season originally under the name Northeast Ohio High School Football, with intention of covering a wide variety of games across Northeast Ohio, by Week 3 of the Fall 2023 Football season, we rebranded into Mahoning Valley High School Football. As the weeks went on, we attracted more and more following, eventually leading to the addition of Ashtabula and Portage County schools being added to our coverage zone. Beginning January 2024, we once again rebranded to what we are now known as Trumbull Area Sports Network!

Trumbull Area Sports Network was founded by 2022 Chalker High School graduate Porfirio Torres. Attending a smaller school often saw minimal exposure from the media, only when a team would win. Torres created TASN to help aim the spotlight at smaller high schools and help bring their team exposure, no matter the team record! Since 2025, following across all social media went from a rough 1,000 to nearly 10,000 followers as of early 2026! TASN is now forming partnerships and helping bring even more exposure to our athlete's schools!

Trumbull Area Sports Network covers all schools across the Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage and Trumbull County area, with the addition of Geauga County schools beginning the 2026-27 school year! 

MEET THE TEAM

Porfirio Torres - TASN Founder

Porfirio Torres is a Class of 2022 graduate of Chalker High School and the Trumbull Career and Technical Center, where he studied Interactive Multimedia. In 2023, he launched this media platform with a vision of bringing consistent, high-quality coverage to local sports.

Porfirio handles every aspect of the page, including game coverage, content creation, and graphic design. From highlighting standout performances to delivering engaging visuals, his work is driven by a commitment to showcasing athletes and teams across the area.

In addition to his work in sports media, Porfirio is also a musician, performing at venues throughout the region and bringing the same creativity and passion to the stage as he does to his media work.

As the platform continues to grow, Porfirio remains focused on expanding coverage, improving content quality, and creating more opportunities to spotlight local talent.
