Let me share with you a little about Norwex, what makes it so different and why it is so important.

To help you best understand how Norwex works, you’re going to want to understand the difference between mechanical cleaning vs chemical cleaning. Mechanical cleaning means you pick everything up and remove it from a surface. Chemical cleaning requires  you to add a chemical spray or wipe to the surface to “kill the nasties.” 

Norwex microfiber MECHANICALLY CLEANS surfaces. Physically removing the dirt and "nasties" that we don't want in our homes. Norwex makes one of the densest microfibers in the world. It's that density of microfiber that picks up and removes up to 99% of the bacteria (mechanical cleaning) from your surface so that your surface is CLEAN (definition of clean is “void of any foreign substance”)

There are actually a few reasons:

1. By law, in order for something to be called “microfiber,” The fiber size has to be 1/6 the diameter of a human hair or less.

Norwex microfiber is 1/200th the size of a strand of human hair. Created with a unique structure, this allows it to lock in the dust, dirt and grime between its crevices.

2. Norwex microfiber is made from the perfect blend of polyester and polyamide. There are over 10,000,000 feet of microfiber in one Norwex Enviro Cloth. That is enough to stretch from the center of Canada all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico. That’s a lot of cleaning power!

3. Norwex products that have “Baclock” listed on their label have their microfiber infused with micro-silver. What this means it that it may remove up to 99% of bacteria when you follow proper care and use instructions.

What is Silver?

Did you know that silver is naturally antimicrobial? Many products today are made using silver because of these antimicrobial properties. Silver antibacterial socks, silver soap, silver-lined curtains in hospitals, silver lines bandages or cream for treating burns, ect......  

The silver in our Norwex microfiber cloths help to fight against mold, fungi and bacterial odors. What does this mean for you...? 

 Less Laundry!! Wahoo!! Now who doesn't LOVE that!!

In more detail:

• Silver interrupts the cells' ability to form chemical bonds essential to survival - therefore, suffocating the organism.

• Silver is imbedded in the strands of the cloth instead of simply coating the strands. What this does is stop bacteria, mold fungi and viruses from growing.

• Norwex doesn’t use any conflict silver mineral (Mined in areas of human rights abuses)

• Norwex trademarked the silver in their products as Baclock, which is in many Norwex products.

• It is also EPA approved.

What is BACLOCK?

It is a technology unique to Norwex that combines an antibacterial silver-based agent with Norwex microfiber.

In more detail:

• Baclock is a patented technology that weaves Micro Silver into Norwex microfiber.

• Bacteria uses iron to connect with sulfur on proteins to grow more germs. The silver ions stick to the sulfur ions which disrupt the sulfur’s desire to group up. This causes the bacteria to produce a substance toxic to itself called reactive oxygen species. This damages the inside of the cell, harming the DNA, proteins and even the cell membrane.
