Pastor Veronica Lewis-Hardy is a native Washingtonian. She is the youngest of five children born to the late Bishop Harvey L. and Mother Odessa Lewis. She attended the Prince Georges County Public School System. Pastor Hardy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in her youth but rededicated her life to the Lord in 1986; while attending the United Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the Late Bishop Harvey L. Lewis, Sr. She served faithfully during her tenure there as Usher, Choir President/Director, Young Adult
Sunday School Teacher, YPWW (Young People Willing Workers) Instructor, Women’s Ministry President, Youth Coordinator, 3rd District Washington DC Jurisdiction Secretary for the Church of God in Christ, a member of the Washington DC Jurisdiction 3rd District Choir and the Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. She answered the call of the Lord to preach the gospel in 1998. She preached her trial sermon and was licensed as a Missionary in November, 2000 and she received her BA in Biblical Studies at Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD in 2000. She is a 2021 Graduate of North Carolina Theological Seminary.
Pastor Hardy and her family joined the Rehoboth Rebirth and Restoration Church in June 2002 where she faithfully served as Youth Coordinator, Choir President/Director, a member of the Praise & Worship Team, Youth Bible Study Teacher and Assistant Director of the Drama Ministry, Chairlady of the Advisory Council and the Ministerial Staff. She attended the Rehoboth Rebirth and Restoration Ministers Training Academy from 2007-2009 and was licensed as a Minister in 2009. Pastor Hardy also served as the Coordinator of the Daughters of Destiny Women’s Ministry of The Temple of Praise under the leadership of Bishop Glen A. Staples, from 2012-2014. Women’s Ministry has always been a passion for Pastor Hardy. She has been positioned as an instrument in the kingdom of God, called to bring about change and spiritual growth to women around the world. To fulfill this plan, The Lord birthed DIVAS in Christ Women’s Ministry within Pastor Hardy in 2007, and she gave birth in June, 2012. Through her obedience to God; women are being healed, saved, restored, empowered, and encouraged to reach their fullest servant potential. Pastor Hardy is the Founder & Pastor of the True Worship Deliverance Center of Boydton, VA.
She is married to Pastor Taft Leon Hardy, Jr. the proud mother of four children Davon, Delonte, Daja’ and Donnell. And the grandmother of one, Christian. She is grateful to God for the opportunity to be a part of the cast for the film entitled “The Sacrifice”, directed by Benedict Dorsey. She gives all praise and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has spared her life for such a time as this.
Pastor Taft Leon Hardy, Jr. is a native of Boydton, VA. He is the youngest of 3 children born to the late Mr. Taft & Clara Hardy. He attended the Mecklenburg County Public School System Pastor Hardy moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area in 1980.
He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1990 and begin faithfully serving as an Usher, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Finance Committee member while attending the United Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the Late Bishop Harvey L. Lewis, Sr. During his tenure there he answered the call of God on his life to preach the gospel. He preached his trial sermon and was licensed as a Minister in 1996. He attended and graduated from the Samuel Kelsey Bible Institute during this same year. God elevated him to Elder, and he was ordained in 1999.
He and his family joined the Rehoboth Rebirth and Restoration Church in June 2002 where he served as Armor Bearer to the Bishop, Director of the Men’s Ministry, and a member of the Ministerial Staff. He attended and successfully completed the Rehoboth Rebirth and Restoration Ministers Training Academy from 2007-2009. Pastor Hardy along with his wife, now Pastor, True Worship Deliverance Center.
He has been happily married to his best friend, Pastor Veronica Hardy for 31 years. He is the father of 6 and grandfather of 17. Pastor Hardy is a humble servant, who is grateful to God for the opportunity to serve the people of God for such a time as this.
