True Jobs ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you use our mobile application "True Jobs" ("App").
True Jobs is a job search and recruitment platform with two user roles: Job Seeker and Recruiter/Employer.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information required to provide the core functionality of the app:
a) Information You Provide
- Name
- Mobile Number (for OTP verification)
- Email Address
- Job Seekers: education, work experience, skills, resume/CV, profile photo
- Recruiters: company name, office address, contact person, job vacancy details
This information is used only to create your profile and match Job Seekers with Employers.
b) Device Information
- Device model, OS version, and anonymous Device ID (IDFV)
- Used only for account security and app stability
c) Location Information (Optional)
- Collected only while the app is in use and only if you allow it, to show nearby job openings and interview venues.
- We do NOT collect background or precise location beyond app use.
d) Photo Library & Documents (Optional)
- Used only for the specific photo or resume file you choose to upload. We do NOT access your full photo gallery.
e) Camera (Optional)
- Used only if you choose to capture a profile or company photo directly in the app.
f) Push Notifications (Optional)
- Used to send alerts about application status, interview schedules, and recruiter messages.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for:
- Creating and authenticating your account
- Matching Job Seekers with relevant job openings
- Sharing your profile with an Employer when you apply for their job
- Sending application and interview status updates
- Preventing fraud and fake job postings
We do NOT use your data for:
- Advertising
- Marketing
- Cross-app tracking
- Analytics-based profiling
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do NOT:
- Sell or rent your personal data
- Share data with advertisers or data brokers
- Track users across other apps (no App Tracking Transparency tracking)
- Collect financial credentials (e.g., UPI PINs, card details)
- Access your SMS messages or contact list
- Scan your full photo library
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:
- With Employers/Recruiters: your profile, contact details, and resume are shared only with the specific employer you apply to
- Trusted service providers (cloud hosting, push notifications) under strict confidentiality obligations
- When required by law or valid government request
5. Data Security
We protect your information using:
- HTTPS/TLS encrypted communication
- Restricted, access-controlled cloud databases
- Authorized personnel-only access
However, no system can be guaranteed fully secure.
6. Your Rights (Account & Data Deletion)
- In-App Deactivation: You can deactivate your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Deactivate Account. This immediately hides your profile from Employers and stops all activity.
- Full Data Deletion: To permanently delete your account and all associated personal data, email support@truejobs.in with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.
Upon a deletion request, your account is deactivated immediately and all personal data is permanently erased from our active production databases within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
7. Children's Privacy
True Jobs is intended exclusively for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn a minor has provided data, we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date and communicated within the App.
