In an era where generative neural networks (GNNs) are revolutionising visual content creation, the need for trustworthiness and ethical considerations has become paramount. This workshop aims to explore cutting-edge research, emerging trends, and practical applications related to trustworthy and human-centred generative AI for image and video synthesis. By fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue, this session seeks to bridge theoretical advancements with real-world implications, ensuring that AI-driven generative technologies are transparent, accountable, and aligned with societal values.
We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics concerning the trustworthiness and ethical implications of generative AI in image and video applications, including but not limited to:
Deepfake Detection and Mitigation: Methods for identifying and countering deepfake content, ensuring authenticity in digital media.
Bias and Fairness in Generative Models: Strategies to mitigate biases in AI-generated visual content and promote fairness in data-driven image synthesis.
Explainability and Interpretability: Techniques for making generative image and video models more transparent and interpretable.
Privacy-Preserving Image/Video Generation: Approaches to safeguard personal data in AI-generated media while maintaining creative potential.
Synthetic Dataset Augmentation for Computer Vision: Ethical considerations and best practices for using generative AI to enhance training datasets in computer vision applications.
Environmental Impact of Generative AI: Evaluating and minimizing the carbon footprint of large-scale generative models for image and video synthesis.
Copyright and Legal Aspects of AI-Generated Visual Content: Examining intellectual property rights, compliance, and legal frameworks surrounding AI-generated media.
AI-Generated Art and Media Ethics: Addressing ethical concerns related to the use of generative AI in artistic and commercial applications.
Trustworthy Human-AI Collaboration in Creative Industries: Investigating how generative AI can ethically assist artists, filmmakers, and designers.
Paper Submission Deadline: 20 June 2025 30 June 2025
Paper notification: 30 June 2025 4 July 2025
Camera-ready paper due: 8 July 2025
Workshop date: 16 September 2025
Submitted papers must be unpublished and not considered elsewhere for publication. Submissions will undergo a rigorous review process handled by the Technical Program Committee. Papers will be selected through a single-blind review process with at least 3 reviews for each paper, based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Papers must be in English, up to 12 pages in Springer format, including references and appendices.
All submissions will be handled electronically via the conference’s CMT Website: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/TRUEGENVIS2025
