True Motors ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you use our mobile application "True Motors" ("App").
True Motors is a vehicle buying and selling platform connecting buyers, sellers, and dealers.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information required to provide the core functionality of the app:
a) Information You Provide
- Name
- Mobile Number (for OTP verification/contact)
- Email Address
- Sellers/Dealers: vehicle details, vehicle photos, registration information, location, and dealership details
- Buyers: vehicle preferences, saved searches, and lead/enquiry details
This information is used only to create your profile and connect vehicle buyers with sellers.
b) Device Information
- Device model, OS version, and anonymous Device ID (IDFV)
- Used only for account security and app stability
c) Location Information
- Collected only while the app is in use and only if you allow it, to show nearby vehicle listings, dealerships, and relevant offers.
- We do NOT collect background location.
d) Photo Library & Documents (Optional)
- Used only for the specific vehicle photos or documents you choose to upload when selling a vehicle. We do NOT access your full photo gallery.
e) Camera (Optional)
- Used only if you choose to capture a vehicle or profile photo directly in the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for:
- Creating and authenticating your account
- Connecting Buyers with relevant Sellers/Dealers based on enquiries
- Sharing your contact details with a Seller/Dealer when you submit a lead or enquiry for their vehicle
- Sending enquiry status and message updates
- Preventing fraud and fake vehicle listings
We do NOT use your data for:
- Advertising
- Marketing
- Cross-app tracking
- Analytics-based profiling
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do NOT:
- Sell or rent your personal data
- Share data with advertisers or data brokers
- Track users across other apps (no App Tracking Transparency tracking)
- Collect financial credentials (e.g., UPI PINs, card details)
- Access your SMS messages or contact list
- Scan your full photo library
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:
- With Sellers/Dealers: your contact details and enquiry information are shared only with the specific seller whose vehicle you enquire about
- Trusted service providers (cloud hosting, push notifications) under strict confidentiality obligations
- When required by law or valid government request
5. Data Security
We protect your information using:
- HTTPS/TLS encrypted communication
- Restricted, access-controlled cloud databases
- Authorized personnel-only access
However, no system can be guaranteed fully secure.
6. Your Rights (Account & Data Deletion)
- In-App Deactivation: You can deactivate your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Deactivate Account. This immediately hides your profile and vehicle listings.
- Full Data Deletion: To permanently delete your account and all associated personal data, email sgsapp20@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.
Upon a deletion request, your account is deactivated immediately and all personal data is permanently erased from our active production databases within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
7. Children's Privacy
True Motors is intended exclusively for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn a minor has provided data, we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date and communicated within the App.
