Dr. Webb and his grandmother, the late Missionary Carrie Mae Kelly started the search for the place that would frame the blessings of the Lord. July 4, 1995, the Lord called his grandmother home. Then the Lord said to him, “now is the time.” In 1995, our Church was established as The Old Land Mark C.O.G.I.C. On November 15, 1995, he went into the building at 3212 Crenshaw Avenue and among those who supported the work included: the late Mother Lillie Faye Webb, Sister Willie Mae Petty, and Sister Tina Webb. The first souls added to the Church were Sister Billie Ashford and family. Visitors commented about the Love and Peace they felt while worshiping with the saints. One night while rejoicing “True Love” was revealed to our Pastor’s Mother, the late Mother Lillie Faye Webb. We served at 3212 Crenshaw for six months.
We purchased the church at 5221 Carol Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. It was prophesied 10 years prior by Loretta Patton that Dr. Webb would Pastor in this particular area. During, this time he was serving at Turner’s Chapel C.O.G.I.C. under late Superintendent James Turner. Throughout the history of our Church, Dr. Webb has been blessed to have pastored many people. True Love is known as the place of healing of the Body, Mind, and Soul.
While sitting at home one afternoon the Lord spoke to Dr. Webb and said, I am giving you a ministry of healing. From the struggle of pit falls in the early part of our ministry our motto was birth out of the old gospel song, “If It Had Not Been For The Lord On My Side.” Throughout our services you will hear either in words or song, the motto of our Church: “If it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be?”
