Tertiary Refugee Student Network (TRSN) is a global, youth-led network created to respond to the needs of refugee students locally, nationally, and globally. We aim to connect, empower, and support forcibly displaced youth pursuing higher education, while uniting them as a global community.
TRSN operates across regions, building spaces where refugee students can access education, grow as leaders, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Our initiatives are driven by youth and focused on education, advocacy, and collaboration across borders.
TRSN is created to connect, empower, and support refugee students worldwide.
Our scope
Regionally, the Network will be uniquely placed to bring together students from around the country and advocate with Ministries, UN agencies, and tertiary governing bodies.
Local activities includes convening groups of students to discuss and solve specific challenges; liaising with local authorities and universities; engaging the private sector; and outreach to secondary students and the wider community.
Globally, the Network will be represented by student leadership to make visible the urgent need for greater access to higher education and use their platform to communicate learnings from tertiary refugee students around the world.
