• 1 Small Group Ensemble: "Another Open in Another Show" from Kiss Me, Kate

• 4 Monologues

• 3 Solos

To advance to states, all events must earn a SUPERIOR rating. Only 6 events may advance, but last year we were permitted to take 8. We will plan for 6 unless notified otherwise.

Preparing for Success

To achieve a SUPERIOR rating: (AT HOME)

• Practice all events at home, including dance moves.

• Practice vocal warm-ups to strengthen your voice.

• Do diction exercises to improve projection.

• Be prepared to advance each week by rehearsing before Friday rehearsals!

Welcome to the 2025–2026 season! Auditions were truly inspiring, and we appreciate all your hard work.

Next Steps:

1. Fees: Please submit the following:

   • Acting Studio Fee: $745.00

   • Junior Thespians Fee: $65.00

2. Payments can be made via check (payable to The Spotlight Kids Performing Arts) or through Zelle at thespotlightkidsperformingarts@gmail.com.

3. Headshot Attire: For your headshots on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Abundant Grace, please wear:

   • Long blue jeans

   • A black t-shirt

   • All-black shoes

4. First Meeting: Our first meeting will be on Thursday, August 28, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Abundant Grace. Please note there was a calendar mix-up; I’ve previously sent a corrected email with the new date.
   During this meeting, we will:

   • Discuss competition events

   • Rehearse Another Openin’ Another Show

   • Review the rehearsal calendar

5. Since our preparation time for Districts is about a month shorter, we’ll be using lunchtime for additional rehearsals to ensure we are well-prepared.
   Please wear an all-black t-shirt on Thursday until our new shirts arrive!
