We used a poster because it’s a powerful visual tool that’s easy to share, grabs attention quickly, and effectively spreads positive government messaging about the island to both locals and tourists.

Why the Island is Named "Tropika"

The island takes its name from the beloved South African soft drink Tropika, known for its vibrant, fruity flavor that instantly evokes feelings of summer and relaxation. Much like the drink itself, the island is a refreshing escape — bright, bold, and full of life. The name "Tropika" was chosen to capture the carefree spirit and exotic charm that both the beverage and the island share. Just as a sip of Tropika transports you to a sunny paradise, the island offers a real-world version of that escape: lush greenery, crystal-clear waters, and an atmosphere that celebrates fun, freedom, and flavor.
