About Us

Founded in 2013, Troop 65 is excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the 2023-2024 Year in Scouting. We are a part of Scouts BSA, in the Prairie Dunes Disctrict, and are proudly sponsored by Augustana Lutheran Church.

Our Troop calendar is full of adventure, from camping in the great outdoors to fishing, hiking and much, much more. Food is central to our Scouting experience; be it a hot meal and s'mores around a campfire. We enjoy a good cast iron dutch oven recipe and sharing it with our Troop family.

We track advancements and awards using ScoutBook, a simple, online tool that we offer to parents as a way of viewing their Scout's completions as they move along the ranks toward Eagle. When a Scout joins the Troop, an invitation is sent for parents to connect to their ScoutBook profile. We regularly track progress with Troop families using the ScoutBook program, so it's important that you accept that invitation and complete your own profile to include your email address and cell phone number.
