We have an amazing group of adults within our troop and local council that work hard to provide scouting families opportunities to fundraise and reduce the out of pocket expenses associated with the amazing adventures we have. Troop 450 pursues several fundraising options throughout the year either independently or in partnership with Quivira council. Additionally, we support the fundraising efforts of our sponsor, Wichita Lions Club, and hosting organization, Maize United Methodist Church.
Our unit typically focuses on two or three fundraising opportunities each year. We continue to look at new options that provide good return on the time invested and are enjoyable for the Scouts.
Historically, popcorn sales have been the largest fundraiser for our troop. This fundraiser is through Quivira council and includes a percent of sales back to the unit, reduction of scouting fees, and a range of prizes for Scouts meeting sales thresholds.
Camp Cards are Win-Win-Win-Win. The unit gets 50% of their sales to fund the Scouts adventures, the council gets a percent of sales, the purchaser can save the full cost of the RESUALBE card in one visit, and the sponsors get advertising with a direct increase in sales. The cards sell for a low cost of $5, making them a simple and effective fundraiser.
The Dillons Community Rewards program supports local organizations by donating a portion of customers' purchases when they use their Shopper’s Card. Complete the setup using the Troop's information:

The meat sticks fundraiser is through Country Meats. These individually packaged meat sticks sell for a low cost with over a dozen flavors available. Country meats offers patches and sales level awards. The scouting unit keeps 45% of all sales.
Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated where fundraising and donations are determined by the individual Operator. We have participated in fundraisers at 21st & Maize and Maple & Ridge locations with 20% of sales being donated to the unit. Thank-you for your support!
