Rule #1: No cotton in the winter... Period!
Pants: synthetic base layer or long johns with a wind resistant outer layer for the times we are not skiing. No Jeans!
Shirts: synthetic base layer or long john top with a troop shirt or similar
A synthetic troop sweatshirt or a fleece
A winter coat suitable for skiing/snowboarding
A warm winter hat (no baseball caps)
A warm pair of gloves. They should be weather resistant (not fleece).
Snow pants for skiing/snow boarding or at minimum so type of water proof layer to protect you if you fall from getting wet.Socks: wool would be best this time of year. Plans on having a couple extra pairs if you get cold easily so you can double up.
Shoes: I suggest a pair of weather proof winter boots and a second pair of shoes to wear if your first gets wet or if you need a pair to wear in a cabin if we are cabin camping.
Wool or synthetic socks. Extra pairs to swap out as your feet get sweaty.
Clothes to sleep in (remember socks and a beany for your head too).
Sleeping bag with minimum rating of 20 degrees
Sleeping pad with and RF value to it.
A pillow (inflatable or regular)
Personal Mess Kit (plate/bowl, fork, spoon, knife)
2 Personal water bottles (arrive with it full). One should be a Nalgene or a heat resistant material to hold hot water if needed.
Personal First Aid Kit
Flashlight/Headlamp with extra batteries
Sunscreen (Non-Aerosol)
Toiletries (Washcloth,Soap,Comb,Shampoo,Toothbrush,Toothpaste,Deodorant)
