About Our Troop

Troop 1876 is a new all girls Scouting America troop in Pontiac, Illinois.  The charter organization for our troop is the First Baptist Church of Pontiac, Illinois.  This is a sister troop to the highly regarded Troop 876, which boasts a long-standing tradition of community service, leadership development, and outdoor adventure.  Our new troop aims to carry forward these values while offering a fresh opportunity for scouts to engage in activities and earn merit badges alongside their counterparts.  With a focus on inclusivity, mentorship, and skill-building, Troop 1876 hopes to foster a supportive environment where young scouts can grow, develop strong character, and contribute to their community, all while forming lasting bonds with the established Troop 876.  Our troop strives to create a stronger scouting presence in the area, helping to inspire the next generation of leaders.
