Troop Meetings

We meet at the the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Road on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. During our meetings, we work on Scout skills, advancement, merit badges, and fun. Please feel free to drop in and visit.

About Us

Troop 177 was founded in 1933 and has been in continuous operation for over 85 years.

Our Scouts are from Hampton and our neighboring towns. Any boys aged 11 to 17 are welcome to join. There is no requirement to have been a Cub Scout to join.

We go to summer camp every July at Hidden Valley Scout Camp in Gilmanton, New Hampshire (map). We have a weekend camping trip nearly every month.

The boys have a lot of fun, and Scouting is one of the few programs that develops leadership skills.

We believe that all boys should be able to participate in Scouting. Those who have financial constraints should contact us regarding financial aid.

Our Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Chartering Organization

Troop 177 is chartered by American Legion Post #35.
