"At its core, Scouting prepares young people not just for challenges, but for lives of purpose. It gets them outdoors, off screens, and builds resilience, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to helping others. That mission remains as important today as ever, as we invest in the next generation of leaders who will shape America’s future." - Roger A. Krone
Starting March 16th, 2018, our journey as a Troop began. Since that day, we have received many talented scouts and team members to continue our journey, and our goal is to assist the scouts with what we believe is the gift of BSA.
It all started with Pack 175, where our orginal amazing leaders and scouts came from. Since there were no immediate Troops in the vicinity, we thought it would be great to begin a Troop in case the Troops that were further away were not accessible to some.
We first created troops 175 (Boys) and 4175 (Girls) and operated together. We had a great experience and even created some Eagle Scouts! Then, on April 14th, 2026, we merged the troops into a new Family Model troop, Troop 7175. Together, we are looking forward to learning and having fun with a purpose!
Now we are onto our next generation of scouts and leaders with the same goal or helping shape the new resilient leaders of the future!
Turtle Patrol (girls)
Bacon Ninja Patrol
Blackbird Patrol
Holy Geese Patrol
Rams Patrol
Square Knot Patrol (for new scouts)
Lord Robert Baden-Powell
Scouting began in England in 1908, after Robert Baden-Powell published Scouting for Boys and the first troops formed.
The purpose is to help young people grow into capable, responsible adults. Scouts learn by doing—using both their heads and their hands—so they can solve problems, take care of themselves, and serve other people.
In the troop, that happens through a clear path. Scouts complete requirements to learn skills, then earn the next rank when they have shown they can use those skills. Camping is the test. On the trail and in camp, they cook, navigate, give first aid, and work as a team instead of only practicing indoors.
The program is Scout-led. Youth fill leadership roles and decide much of what the troop does. Adults advise, keep things safe, and step in when needed—but they do not run the program for the Scouts.
The highest rank in Scouts BSA is Eagle Scout. It takes years of work, leadership, and a service project that helps the community. It is difficult on purpose, and many people outside Scouting still recognize it as a serious achievement.
Scouting is now a worldwide movement, with national organizations in more than 170 countries and tens of millions of members. World Scouting currently estimates about 60 million Scouts and volunteers.
We meet almost every Tuesday night from 6:35pm - 8:30pm at Center Pointe Community Church.
